Nook Simple Touch Review – Main Features
The main facts you should know about Nook Simple Touch: it features an 800×600 Pearl E Ink Display that has a touch screen using a network of infrared beams slightly above the screen surface. In addition to its lightness, the most advanced sharp E Ink Pearl display with 50% better contrast. It is 7.48 Ounces weight. This wireless device comes with a built-in storage of 2GB; good enough to store around 1000 books. Moreover, it has wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and has a USB port for charging and connecting to a computer. If it comes to the battery life, then there is a great improvement – it is capable of operating for two months on just one charge. The recharge time takes only 3 hours.
What is more, Barnes and Noble have worked to make the Nook a very social device, letting users lend books to each other. It is called LendMe technology. Moreover, Nook has a social feature- Friends that you can utilize to create a group of friends. Within this group of friends, you can give recommendations of books you love, receive recommendations of other must-reads from your friends, or Lend and Borrow eBooks

Even after an hour of reading, you will hardly feel fatigued or bothered having this thing in your hand. While reading, you can turn the pages using the buttons. So here, you have a choice- whether to turn to the next page with a right-to-left swipe either across the screen or across a gentle tap in the right margin. You can also turn pages, both forward and back, by pressing raised ridges that lie to the right and left of the screen.

In addition, you can control the line spacing. This menu also lets you change the font. If it comes to the navigation, then with this ereader, you will navigate through the book very simply – users can go to the table of contents, search the text of a book, or use a slider to move through the whole text. Moreover, apart from it, the Nook device offers a handful of features, such as holding your finger on a word or phrase pulls up a menu to let you highlight, annotate, share or look up those words.
Last, but not least option I will review is library. There you will find a great number of filtering options such as “only showing books” or “only showing newspapers”. In addition, there is another way to sort the books- by the author, title and others. Therefore, the Nook Simple Touch can organize books into ‘shelves’ to make it easier for you to find things.
